Plastic bottles from your kitchen, bathroom and Laundry (grades 1, 2 and 5).

Plastic Food containers (grades 1, 2 and 5).

Newspapers, Magazines and Junk Mail

Paper, cardboard, Egg cartons, empty pizza boxes and windowed envelopes.

All thing not recyclable

  • Aerosols, pots, pans, and foil (and items you normally find in a garage or garden that contain chemicals)
  • Tissues and paper towels (these usually have food scraps or cleaning chemical residue)
  • Takeaway coffee cups, drink cartons, shiny gift wrap (these items can include other materials like plastic or metal)

  • Nappies and sanitary products
  • Fabric and clothing

  • Vegetable and fruit peelings
  • Leftovers
  • Cooked and uncooked meat
  • Dairy products such as cream cheese or yoghurt

Glass bottles and jars. You can put most glass bottles and jars in your recycling bin.

  • Drinking glasses, mugs, plates and jugs
  • Lightbulbs

  • Broken glass
  • Lids from glass bottles and jars.

The Polystyrene Bin

Kindly remove all non- Polystyrene materials from the item.  E.g. Tape or plastic bag.

Remember they are doing us a great service by keeping this product out of landfills and waterways.

Check the packaging for the return to store symbol.

Chocolate, biscuits, ice cream and snack wrappers (outer wrapper only)

Confectionery, crackers and chips packets (silver lined)

Plastic liners, bubble and cling wraps, snap lock bags / zip lock bags

Veggies, fresh and frozen food wrappers

Document sleeves, plastic post satchels and carrier bags.

Pasta bags, rice bags (both plastic and the woven type), bread bags (without the tie), cereal liners

Plastic bags

Plastic pet food bags, clean potting mix and compost bags

Fresh produce bags, netting produce bags (any metal clips removed)

Used Batteries

Dry cell batteries

  • AA, AAA, C, D, 9V, 6V
  • Power tool batteries
  • Button cell batteries   
  • Other handheld-sized batteries that fit into the collection unit slot

Please place tape over the battery terminals to prevent contact from other batteries terminals.

This will prevent the possibility of terminals arcing and causing a possible fire.

We cannot accept lead acid batteries, car batteries, products with embedded batteries or other batteries that do not fit into the battery collection unit slot.

Recycling plastic pots can help reduce waste and minimize environmental impact by diverting materials from landfills and promoting reuse and recycling.

Garden centers and nurseries offer recycling programs for plastic pots.
